Position: Medical Billing Specialist
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, flexible schedule also available
Location: Hybrid schedule - 1100 E. Market St., Louisville, KY 40206 (2 days on campus)
A Day in the Life:
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing the billing and collection process. Your primary responsibility will be to diligently follow up on unpaid claims, communicate with payers, and pursue appeals when necessary to maximize reimbursement.
Medical Billing Specialist Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding required
- Two years of experience in claims billing, claims reconciliation, and denial management in a medical office, hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
