SUMMARY: The Warranty Process Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the warranty program for recreational vehicles (RVs) at a corporate level. This role involves developing and implementing warranty policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as ensuring compliance across dealerships and service centers. The Warranty Process Manager works closely with internal teams, manufacturers, and external vendors to optimize warranty processes and provide exceptional support to customers and dealerships as well as site support to meet company objectives as defined by the Senior Management Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Warranty Program Development:
- Develop and maintain the corporate RV warranty program, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish warranty terms, coverage, and exclusions.
- Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve the warranty program.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and warranty standards.
Warranty Process Optimization:
- Streamline and improve warranty processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement systems for claim processing and tracking.
- Analyze warranty data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to implement necessary technological solutions.
Dealer and Service Center Support:
- Provide support and training to dealerships and service centers regarding warranty policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with dealerships to address warranty-related inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with warranty guidelines and standards.
- Coordinate with dealerships to resolve complex warranty issues and customer complaints.
Warranty Claims Analysis:
- Review and analyze warranty claims data to identify trends, patterns, and potential product issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and quality control teams to address recurring warranty concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize warranty costs and improve product quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on warranty claim trends, costs, and performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of warranty policies, procedures, and claims data.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on warranty data analysis.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in warranty management, preferably in the RV or automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of warranty processes, policies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret warranty data and identify trends.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in using warranty management systems, databases, and other relevant software.
Knowledge of warranty laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal teams, manufacturers, dealerships, and service centers.
