Job Summary
Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures on automated manufacturing equipment.
Job Duties
- Use hand tools and test instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components and isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair all electrical systems (12vdc,24vdc, 120vac,240vac, 480vac)
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and program robotics
- Ability to troubleshoot all automated equipment. ( PLC,HMI, Robotics, Vision, Safety Devices,etc)
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts as needed. Including but not limited to gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to electrical diagram specifications.
- Be able to fabricate and/or install parts as needed to complete electrical, automation repair, or troubleshooting task.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes
- Estimate time and material costs on electrical projects
- Requisition new electrical supplies and equipment
- Read and interpret blue-prints or electrical schematics and has knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Perform work under general supervision
- Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
- Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience
