Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and process Payroll.
- Manage the process of Accounts Payable.
- Prepare and enter journal entries for month end and in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain the fixed assets and associated depreciation schedules and ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
- Manage employee credit card charges and expense reporting.
- Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliation, including fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks - quite often on short notice.
- Submit agency reports as directed.
- File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Year-end Audit review and support.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience OR bachelor's degree in finance or accounting plus 2-3 years of experience
- 3-4 years of office experience with financial-related duties
- Competent knowledge of account principles, US GAAP
- Knowledge of Acumatica, Bill.com, and SAP Concur is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, (excel, word, teams, outlook)
- Strong math skills, with the ability to analyze figures.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities organize efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
