CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Duties):
Document Scanning Records and Data Entry Clerk:
· Attend trainings and meetings, as requested by supervisor.
· Member Care: Demonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe member practices.
· Employee Safety: Safely performs all duties; follows required protective protocols to ensure personal safety as well the safety of others.
· Must maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretches.
· Quality Improvement: Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards, when assigned.
· HIPAA: Keep all protected health information (PHI) confidential and abide by HIPAA policies for the release and disclosure of any PHI. Will report unauthorized use of disclosure of PHI immediately, to supervisor or HIPAA security officer.
· Work well under pressure, meet multiple and often competing deadlines.
· At all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients and the community.
· Understand departments objective, workflow and regulatory policies
· Scan all physically filed paperwork into docushare platform
· Validate and index scanned documents for optimal operational and storage performance
· Documents administration (Sorting, prepping, scanning, filing)
· File miscellaneous paperwork electronically.
· Close scanning and filing gaps.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
· Provide orientation and training for new externs if deemed capable and competent by Flow Management Supervisor.
· Actively participates in department and clinic meetings as appropriate.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sort through boxes containing confidential patient information while upholding county and company file privacy regulations
2. Scan and file each physical document from Member Services department’s folders to achieve fully digitalized workflow.
3. Performing clerical duties for Member Services department, interfaces with other departments and index’s scanned documents in accordance with departments workflow, storage and extraction requirements
4. Ensures all files are replaced to their original state to ensure physical document county storage requirements are being met in the event of an arbitrary audit
5. Attentive to extreme detail with the ability to maintain an effective system of organization
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification Requirements:
· Must have a high school diploma.
· Must be detail oriented in addition to strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, and perform competently under stress
- Works with department heads, employees and other temp contractors as applicable.
· Must have excellent written, organizational, and communication skills with ability to read, write, speak and understand English and Spanish clearly
· Ability to function independently with little or no supervision and part of a team in a high need, high volume, and production-oriented department.
· Computer literate; familiarity with Microsoft Word
· Docushare experience highly preferred
· Excellent customer service skills with supervisors and colleagues
· Ability to work well with a variety of people.
· Ability to bend, lift, carry up to 25lbs. with relative ease.
Education and Experience:
- Practical knowledge of computer operations.
- Demonstrated experience meeting tight deadlines
- Experience scanning documents
