As a Human Resources Assistant in our luxury hotel/restaurant, you will provide essential support to the HR department by assisting with various administrative tasks, recruitment efforts, and employee relations initiatives. Your role will involve maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment processes, and assisting in the facilitation of employee training programs, all while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:

Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.

Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork completion, orientation sessions, and training arrangements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and performance evaluations.

Assist in organizing and facilitating employee training and development programs, ensuring employees have access to relevant learning opportunities.

Support HR initiatives related to employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.

Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed for management review.

Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Assist with coordinating employee recognition programs and events to promote employee morale and engagement.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in a human resources role or related administrative position preferred.

Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.

Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
