Gateway Church Administrative Assistant
2024 Job Description
Gateway Church is looking for a part time Administrative Assistant. This is an on-site position that will provide administrative support to the senior pastor, staff, ministry leaders, and church. This is a Christian ministry position, and candidates must be an active Christians who can work in cooperation and support of the biblically based mission and values of Gateway Church.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Carry out routine responsibilities of an administrative assistant and receptionist including taking phone calls and receiving guests during office hours, sorting mail, communicating with staff, members, vendors, guests etc.
· Serve as an administrative assistant to the pastor.
· Assist and help maintain social media accounts and church website.
· Maintain church calendar.
· Schedule and track usage and payments for outside groups who are using church facilities.
· Assist with coordination, scheduling and support of ministries and events.
· Prepare and print church publications.
· Maintain accurate membership records and other church files.
· Prepare Annual Church Profile.
· Help oversee food pantry stocking and distribution.
· Assist with Quarterly Business Meetings by preparing agenda and issuing minutes.
· Ordering and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.
· Schedule and support facility maintenance as required.
· Other duties as a assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Be active Christians who can work in cooperation and support of the biblically based mission and values of Gateway Church.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Operate office equipment.
· Proficient in or able to learn Breeze Church Management software, Dialpad communication software, and other software and applications as needed.
· Able to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight such as office supplies, paper, food pantry items etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
