Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for working with other compounding pharmacy technicians to make all the compounds requested under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Job Duties:
· Follow all Federal and State guidelines and regulations for preparation of compounded medications. Maintain cleanliness and health standards of all laboratory equipment, chemicals, and work areas.
· Properly use, clean and calibrate all equipment used in the lab to compound prescriptions.
· Enter formulas into the computer system as assigned. Print formula log worksheets incoming prescriptions. Weigh out ingredients, have a Registered Pharmacist check for accuracy, then follow instructions on formula worksheet to compound prescription.
· Prepack formulas daily as instructed per schedule. Must prepack appropriate quantity of assigned formulas.
· Answer phones to assist patients, prescribers, and representatives and other callers as required. Maintain professional and congenial tone at all times.
· Transfer calls requiring professional or clinical judgment to pharmacist.
· Re-stock and replenish chemicals, bottles, cleaning supplies, and inventory as needed.
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing team goals.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
