Position: Engineer, Aircraft Certification

POSITION SUMMARY
Aeronautix, located in Wichita, KS, specializes in the design, installation, and certification of aeronautical products and modifications for the aircraft civilian, military and special mission industries. We are seeking a highly motivated innovator with the technical expertise to efficiently FAA certify aircraft modifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- develop efficient and accurate certification approaches for 14 CFR part 23/25 aircraft modifications
- develop logically defined project documentation structure
- develop organized project proposals, project certification plans and project schedules
- coordinate with outside customers to understand and meet their expectations consistently
- coordinate internal groups and external resources to communicate, execute and meet project goals
- communicate with FAA representatives as required
- accurately define aircraft modification compliance requirements in accordance with 14 CFR part 23/25
- assist in the preparation and verification of aircraft installations and FAA certification documents
- prepare timely and accurate manuals, reports, plans and analyses required for FAA aircraft certification projects
- support component and aircraft ground test activity
- support experimental flight test activity
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- accept and complete other job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
- experience working FAA aircraft certification projects
- experience with the interpretation / application of 14 CFR part 23 and 25 regulations / policy
- understanding of the FAA STC or TC process as applied to complex aircraft modification projects
- skilled with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project and Visio)
- extremely detailed oriented
- exceptional written and oral communication skills
- outstanding organizational skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- experience working in an FAA ODA environment
COMPENSATION
- $60,000 - $120,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience
- sign on bonus commensurate with qualifications and experience

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
