Summary:
The Press & Bindery Operator-in- Training will assist in the responsibility for maintaining a safe, clean working environment while respectfully working with a team assisting in the set up and running of assigned bindery and press equipment. This position is entry level with room for growth within the company.
What You’ll Do:
- Removing products off the back of various equipment, including presses
- Inspect completed workpieces for quality and piece size.
- Work with loose and/or complete products and stack onto tables or pallets to prepare for shipping.
- Assist with Mail Sorting and other mail processes.
- Operate both electric and manual hand trucks.
- Assist in performing routine maintenance on machines.
- Other duties as assigned, i.e., general department housekeeping, etc.
You will Learn:
- How to set up and operate equipment in bindery and/or press that cut, fold, assemble, and glue printed materials.
- To inspect and adjust machine settings to ensure quality of finished product.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make repairs when necessary.
- How to keep accurate records of production runs.
- Operate/run, and set-up/program cutters.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned, i.e., general department housekeeping, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Repetitive bending, walking, and lifting of up to 40 lbs.

Expected Hours of Work:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (5pm – 5am)
- Overtime paid after 36 hours per week (mandatory as needed)
