Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care needs/supervise Medication Aides and Nursing Assistants
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as specimen collection processing and interpretation of results
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques
- Assist with health coaching and family planning services
- Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., American Health Tech) to document patient information accurately
Skills:
- Proficient in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilator support and airway management techniques
- Ability to provide specialized care for infants and toddlers
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in emergency situations
