Salem Animal Hospital may be the place for you! We are seeking a full-time LVT to help provide outstanding patient care/client service.
Salem Animal Hospital is a, family-owned, 5-doctor veterinary practice that is known for providing high-level medical care and excellent customer service to the pets and families of the communities we serve for over 78 years. We offer compassionate, progressive, state-of-the-art care for dogs and cats.
Our veterinarians are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctors that treat each patient like their own! Salem Animal Hospital’s excellent support team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Customer Service Representatives are dedicated not only to the best preventive and wellness medicine but also to partnering with our clients to see that their pets have as many happy, healthy years as possible.
Our new state-of-the-art building was specifically designed so that we could deliver the most efficient care to our patients. Our hospital offers an in-house lab, digital imaging, laser therapy, surgical suite, surgical laser, digital dental imaging, endoscopy, ultrasound, etc.

LVT Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Virginia Veterinary Technician License
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent Communication skills
- Be familiar with anesthesia and surgical techniques.
- Be proficient in laboratory procedures.
- Detailed-oriented self-starter
- Able to handle a fast-paced environment
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Have strong communication skills
- Able to multi-task
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
LVT Responsibilities:
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Dentistry
- Radiography
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical assisting and recovery
- Lab procedures
- Nursing care, etc.
