The primary accountability of After Hours (Evening, Night, or Weekend Shifts) Operations Dispatcher is to ensure that all customer expectations and delivery schedules are met, that all drivers are adhering to DOT rules and regulations, as well as all company policies. He or she will be managing communication with all customers and team members in efficient and expedient time frames while keeping a focus on safety. ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Ongoing communication with driver team members, updating dispatches, pick-ups, and deliveries, recording order dates and critical instructions into the operating system.
· Responding to customer inquiries accurately and in a timely manner.
· Providing regular updates on in transit shipments including pick-up, delivery, location updates and delays.
· Enter accurate PTA information for each dispatch.
· Lead assigned drivers to complete adherence to Hours-of-Service guidelines and safety compliance.
· Plan effectively so that driver arrives home within 24 hours of requested time off.
· Service all freight on your board in a timely manner.
· Document all driver related failures and add to driver profile.
· Verbally dispatch all loads that require such action.
· Manage non-revenue miles.
· Execute all relays due to lack of proper information or management.
· Deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
· Work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
· Communicate effectively and professionally with Operations Personnel, Drivers, and management of all levels

QUALIFICATIONS
- Transportation/trucking experience.
- Previous dispatching experience
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations.
- Effective communication and collaboration laterally, upward, and downward.
- Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma or GED.
