Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time Global Embedded Teams Manager to support a rapidly growing team of embedded analysts with clients around the world, across multiple industry sectors. This is a remote (virtual) work position; however, candidates should be based in the US, Eastern or Central Time zones.
About US: ERI is a global risk and security intelligence advisory firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas with offices in Austin, Washington DC, Greater Boston, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Singapore. We support global security, risk management, business continuity and other risk-focused departments of Fortune 500 companies and multinational organizations. We help our clients assess risk to their organizations, whether that risk emanates from geopolitics, security threats, economic forces or regulatory initiatives that may impact bottom-line revenue or threaten personnel and company assets.
ERI operates five lines of business:
● Assessment and Analysis: We provide our clients daily, subscription-based and bespoke geopolitical and threat intelligence services.
● Training: We train intelligence analysts to serve effectively in corporate environments. Our training focuses on tradecraft and tools that drive more efficient and effective analysis. We offer a range of in-house and open training courses to address specific levels of experience and need.
● Online Platform: We offer a subscription-based online portal that provides a workspace environment for security intelligence analysts, combining ERI’s expert analysis with hundreds of curated datasets and our suite of data visualization tools.
● Consulting: We help companies develop and improve their intelligence programs, providing end-to-end support; from assessing needs and providing analysis to recruiting and hiring highly qualified candidates.
● Embedded Analyst Services: We support our clients with embedded analysts, full- and part-time, short- and long-term. Our embedded analysts work directly for our clients, allowing them the benefit of employing intelligence professionals trained to ERI’s strict standards of competency and continually professionally developed by ERI’s senior leadership, armed with access to ERI’s proprietary tools and deep backbench of in-house subject matter experts.
What We’re Looking For: A solid, early mid-career intelligence professional with exceptional organizational, program, project and personnel management skills.
The Position’s Primary Responsibilities:
- Reporting to ERI’s Director of Global Embedded Services, serve as one of ERI’s embedded analysts’ primary points of contact with ERI corporate.
- Facilitate responses to all administrative and HR-related questions that an embedded analyst or client might have, in coordination with ERI’s Director of Global Embedded Services and executive team.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to embedded staff in line with ERI training and best practices.
- Document, track and facilitate professional development plans for each embedded analyst.
- Support establishment of new intelligence programs, including building and implementing SOPs, training embedded team leaders and analysts on intelligence requirements, product creation and customer relations, as required.
- Support embedded team leaders in writing and conducting mid-year and annual performance evaluations.
- Serve in a front-line Human Resources capacity for assisting in hiring of embedded analysts, onboarding, conducting performance reviews, tracking annual leave, and other general HR duties.
- Become an expert on and a champion of ERI culture, training, products and services to ensure appropriate client uptake.
- Train newly hired embedded analysts on ERI’s Situation Room portal.
- Other administrative and programmatic tasks as required.
Experience: The right candidate will possess most or all of the following qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in private sector intelligence analysis, operations, GSOC management and/or geopolitical risk analysis. Those with prior experience as an embedded analyst, preferably in a management capacity, will receive highest priority.
- Project or Program management experience.
- Personnel management experience.
- Excellent writing, editing and analytical skills.
- Training experience, particularly on writing and the tradecraft of intelligence analysis.
- Excellent, pro-active, collaborative communication skills - particularly across virtual platforms.
- Ability to work quickly and address deadlines on time.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed and the maturity and self-discipline to maintain a sustainable schedule.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Previous HR experience.
- Experience living or working abroad, demonstrating a nuanced ability to relate to those from other cultures.
Working Hours: Role is a standard business hours position; however, as manager of a global program, the successful candidate will be required to work some early mornings or evenings to attend meetings or calls in other time zones. Remuneration: This role will be a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
