The Youth Mentor is an integral member of the team encouraging youth in the community evening resource center to participate in activities that are safe, engaging, and fun. The Mentor will facilitate and/or co-facilitate and engage youth in recreational and educational activities such as sports, games, and musical activities. They will also assist with supervision on transportation runs; assist with giving out meals and snacks; assist with building monitoring and program supervision; participate in team meetings and trainings; and participate in locating parents/guardians.
This is a part-time evening position with hours during the time frame of 5:00pm – 9:30pm.
Qualified candidates for this position must:
· Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with at-risk youth and adolescents or related experience.
· Have the ability to provide a clear Criminal background check, child sex abuse check, ACT 31/126 clearance, physical, and FBI fingerprint
· Possess valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
