- Monitoring patient health: Monitoring vital signs, taking blood, and assessing healing progress
- Administering medication: Administering physician-prescribed medication, including intravenous infusions
- Assisting with activities of daily living: Helping with bathing, dressing, and eating
- Documenting changes: Documenting changes in behavior, eating habits, and overall mood
- Providing education: Instructing patients and their families on proper home care procedures and strategies
- Maintaining the patient's comfort: Keeping the patient comfortable through palliative care
