Job Description:
As a Palletizer at Family Health and Education Foundation Intl Inc, you will play a vital role in supporting our humanitarian efforts by efficiently managing the packaging and distribution of essential supplies and materials. Working within our warehouse facilities, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling pallets of goods for shipment to our partner organizations and beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate palletizing equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated palletizing systems, to stack and arrange packages and materials onto pallets according to specified guidelines.
- Monitor production lines and conveyor systems to ensure a steady flow of products for palletizing, adjusting equipment settings as needed to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and logistics coordinators to prioritize palletizing tasks and meet daily production targets and shipment schedules.
- Inspect incoming materials and packages for quality and compliance with shipping requirements, reporting any discrepancies or damage to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of palletized inventory, including quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates, using inventory management software or manual tracking systems.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials and operating heavy machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as loading and unloading trucks, organizing storage areas, and performing inventory counts as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about new procedures, equipment upgrades, and safety protocols relevant to palletizing operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in warehouse operations or forklift operation is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with specific experience in palletizing and materials handling preferred.
- Proficiency in operating palletizing equipment and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain quality standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, often in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work culture.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
