Position Description
The Manufacturing & Operations Associate is responsible for hands-on production and assembly of new and existing products; planning, procuring and tracking supplies and materials used in production and research & development; performing quality assurance functions over incoming materials and finished goods; maintaining and updating internal quality system documentation as needed; and maintaining overall facilities in good working order. Preferably, the candidate has prior working experience in a manufacturing, scientific, or lab environment. The candidate will also be responsible for recommending improvements to existing processes and procedures, and implementing such improvements upon management approval.
Qualifications
● Minimum 2 years related experience in a manufacturing, scientific and/or lab environment.
● Ideally, experience working in an FDA/GMP regulated environment.
● Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
● Since we are a small employer, there are no health benefits offered at the present time.
Responsibilities
● Following detailed work instructions and protocols.
● Manufacture and assembly of clinical and pre-clinical products, consistent with internal quality systems and good manufacturing practices.
● Performing quality assurance, testing and validation over incoming materials and finished goods, consistent with quality systems.
● Performing monthly inventory counts and reconciliation of controlled inventory kept onsite.
● Maintaining and updating documentation within the quality system, as necessary.
● Providing recommendations, and subsequently implementing, improvements to existing processing and procedures.
● Maintaining facilities in good working order, consistent with internal quality systems and good manufacturing practices, including the storage and warehousing of materials and supplies.
