The Data Entry Specialist will work as a part of a close knit team to understand the importance of information and how it can be used to document, transform and inform other about the work being done in an organization or agency. Working with data requires a wide array of skills and is not limited to a single task or duty. These responsibilities vary greatly depending on a company's needs and goals. It involves the translation of information into electronic forms, using some form of company- specific software. Work in data entry involves preparing and organizing data, checking documents for accuracy, updating data, deleting unnecessary files, transcribing information into an electronic format, scanning documents, and general clerical duties.
