Job Summary:
The Surveillance Network Administrator/Technician will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all surveillance hardware and equipment at River Casino Portsmouth thus providing a secure environment for all guests and team members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on all casino surveillance equipment.
- Maintains and is responsible for all repair and monitor room equipment
- Maintains and is responsible for a spare parts inventory for CCTV repair and recording devices, cameras, and related equipment
- Installs and maintains all CCTV cameras, recording devices, expansion equipment, and related wiring on property
- Repairs damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulation of the Virginia Lottery Board and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property
- Implements preventative maintenance programs designed to eliminate system failures
- Maintains and programs computer-controlled matrix switch supporting the monitors and cameras
- Routinely inspects power supply and wiring to all surveillance equipment, identifying and correcting any potential problems
- Ensures that the appropriate inventory of equipment and supplies is kept on hand at all times, and orders and restocks are the same, as needed.
- Consults with management and vendors on specific types of equipment needed for certain surveillance operations
- Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings
- Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of surveillance experience working with Surveillance systems
- Must be able to learn and understanding of all aspects of a digital surveillance system utilized in the surveillance environment
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Able to obtain and retain gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedures manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Ability to write effective reports, memos, equipment repair logs, training guides and inventory control programs
- Ability to create computer programs and organize spreadsheets
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
Physical, Environmental, and other requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to grip or grasp items for 75% of the time.
