Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Product Development Engineer to join our team. Aftermarket Automotive product development engineer focus on exploring new technologies, materials, and concepts to drive innovation in aftermaket parts design and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of our company.
Duties:
- Concept to Product Lifecycle:
- Involved in the entire development process, from initial sketches to the final product launch
- Collaborate with our customers, design teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to bring innovative ideas to life
Research and Development (R&D):
- Focus on exploring new technologies, materials, and concepts to drive innovation in automotive aftermarket performance parts design and performance
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and performance testing of new ideas and technologies.
Design and Improvement:
- Responsibilities include designing and developing new products as well as improving existing ones
- Ensuring meet safety, performance, and quality standards.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter that can operate without direct supervision.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, customers and manufacturing experts.
- Coordinate prototype development, procurement, and tracking
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience with Domestic Automotive engine parts and electrical knowledge
- Minimum of 7 years experience in automotive industry.
- CAD system experience is essential
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD system
- Knowledge of Domestic Automotive V8 engine, parts and electrical wires
- Experience Automotive aftermarket product development
- Experience with testing automotive products thoroughly for safety issues and defects
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Use computers extensively to produce and analyze designs
- Research designs and build prototypes
