Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Bookseller to join our team. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling books, and creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our customers. Responsibilities: - Greet customers and assist them in finding books or other products - Provide recommendations and product demos to customers based on their interests - Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system - Upsell additional products such as bookmarks, journals, or gift items - Maintain a clean and organized store environment - Assist with inventory management, including receiving and shelving new merchandise - Stay up-to-date with new book releases and industry trends - Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Skills: - Strong sales skills with a proven track record in retail sales - Proficient in operating a point-of-sale (POS) system - Ability to upsell and cross-sell products to customers - Knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, taxes, and change accurately - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively - Cash handling experience with attention to detail - Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Basic math skills for calculating prices, discounts, and change accurately This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a passion for books and enjoy working in a retail environment.
