We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in providing quality dental healthcare to our patients. Primary responsibilities will include promoting good oral health by performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during examination procedures. Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
- Conduct thorough assessment of patients' overall oral health including oral cancer screening, periodontal probing and acknowledging patient's concerns
- Take diagnostic quality dental images as indicated
- Monitor Nitrous Oxide
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for improvement
- Assist the dentist during examination and related procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Monitor hygiene department supplies and maintenance schedule
- Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
Experience and Requirements:
- Current Texas dental license
- Nitrous Oxide certification
- Proficiency in using dental software systems
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and ADA billing codes, instruments, and equipment
- Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
