Position Overview:
As the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of our retail and eCommerce location. You will be responsible for implementing effective sales strategies, leading your team to achieve inventory control, margin, and sales targets, and creating a positive atmosphere for customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
We would like to have someone in role who has experience in the Water Industry preferably. We have a large focus on water: storage, rain-water harvesting, recycling, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Company programs, and applicable laws and regulations. Hold the team accountable for store conditions and results. Execute Company policies and standards.
- Staff the store with qualified team members, including hiring, training, observing, and coaching the team to achieve results. Lead the performance management process, including disciplinary action as necessary. Identify talent and develop team members for advancement.
- Foster respectful interactions and promote a commitment to the organization's vision and values. Project a positive image and serve as a role model for others.
- Implement and lead shrink and safety programs to achieve goals, protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Deliver sales plan/profit plan and other KPIs in conjunction with annual performance objectives. Manage the store team to achieve their role KPIs.
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures such as purchasing, inventory, invoicing, payroll, etc.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Achieve financial objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
- Ensure the availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories. Understand and complete the MIGO process of goods. Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotions, and studying trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a sales-intensive eCommerce or retail industry.
- Experience of 2 years in managing B2B and B2C customer relationships.
- Preferred experience of 2 years in shipping and receiving operations.
- Forklift experience or certification is highly preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and possess a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, encompassing documentation, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
- Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates a positive and friendly collaborative attitude within a team environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry, and software systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing Salesforce or similar CRMs.
- Experience in utilizing SAP is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at least ten times daily and perform repetitive motions such as twisting, turning, and stooping.
- Full body mobility to work for extended periods of time with hands above the head, stoop four times per vehicle up to six to ten times per hour of work, stand for extended periods of time each shift worked, and climb stairs.
- Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required.
