Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. Have you always wanted to be a different kind of hygienist? Have you wondered if there is more than prophy paste to solve the oral health epidemic? As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality whole body dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform holistic dental assessments, biofilm reduction protocols utilizing guided biofilm management protocols, counseling on natural oral care products and periodontal treatments.

We are looking for a candidate for this position with a passion for health and looking to advance their skills in our holistic dental practice. Training on whole health dental protocols and equipment will be provided by the practice. Duties:
- Perform biofilm reduction, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Update and maintain patient medical records using electronic systems such as Open Dental
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the dental office team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care
Requirements:
- Valid KY state license as a Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Proficiency in using dental office software systems for scheduling, medical documentation, and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Dental assisting experience is a plus
