Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. The Meat Cutter will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products for sale or consumption.
Duties:
- Cut, trim, and prepare cuts of meat according to quality and yield standards
- Package, weigh, price, and label items for retail sale
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Assist customers with meat selection and provide information on cooking methods
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production, food industry, or a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food preparation
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a restaurant or food handling setting
- Understanding of food safety protocols and procedures
