We seek and energetic Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the team.
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for all respiratory treatments and diagnostic procedures. The Respiratory Therapist will be required to exercise independent clinical judgment in the respiratory care of patients. The Respiratory Therapist is also responsible for assessing, planning, and reassessing patients receiving respiratory care to ensure appropriate patient care.
Qualifications required:
- A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state.
- Successful completion of a Board-approved respiratory therapy training program
- Pass the National Board of Respiratory Care certification exam.
- Hold a current CPR Certification
- 1 - 3 years of respiratory care experience
Essential job functions and responsibilities:
- Recognizes life-threatening situations and initiates appropriate response
- Perform ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems, non-invasive and invasive ventilation therapies, as well as transport of ventilator patients of diagnostic procedures.
- Provide respiratory care to patients by assisting with breathing exercises and monitoring vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes.
- Evaluate the patient and recommend a treatment plan
- Document all patient care accurately and completely
- Serve as a resource to certified respiratory therapists
Nonessential Job Functions:
- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor/department director.
- Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
