FUNCTION
The Intake and Outreach Coordinator role is responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth who are prospective and current clients. This role will focus on outreach and engagement, intake management, documentation and reporting, and team collaboration. It will also supervise a team of intake and outreach specialists and a program assistant.
TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
o Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with LGBTQ+ Youth who are unhoused or at risk of being unhoused
o Organize and participate in community and client-facing events and workshops
o Represent the Ali Forney Center at community events, fairs, and meetings.
o Act as a liaison and cultivate relationships with community and organizations to expand outreach efforts
o Oversee intake scheduling of prospective clients with the Program Assistant
o Work with the Coordinator of Program Evaluation to train staff assigned to complete intakes.
o Facilitate weekly intake assignment meetings.
- Documentation and Reporting
o Provide quarterly and annual reports on outreach efforts, intake statistics, and outreach program outcomes.
o Work with the coordinator of program evaluation to ensure data needs are met.
o Supervise a team of Outreach Specialists and Program Assistant
o Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from intake to program participation.
o Participate in team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and contribute to program enhancements.
o Provide site supervision of the drop-in hub by managing coverage issues, crisis de-escalation, suicide assessments, training, and other relevant needs.
o Facilitate team and client care meetings.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Preferred
TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALITIES
Experience working with adolescent/young adult population required. Knowledge of LGBTQ street-involved youth preferred. Transgender & gender non-conforming people are encouraged to apply. Bilingual (Spanish) speaking are encouraged to apply.
