Job Overview:
The Fleet Director will ensure that the maintenance of company vehicles and equipment are executed in an efficient, safe and economical manner by providing leadership, and coordinating and directing employee activities engaged in purchasing, servicing and repairing equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating road service repairs throughout all 48 states.
- Oversee and manage on site repair facility and mechanics
- Establish of maintenance and repair procedures for fleet equipment
- Parts purchasing and inventory management
- Diesel fuel purchasing and ability to review all invoices for accuracy
- Ability to complete and monitor maintenance work orders and other reports needed
- Acts as liaison with outside agencies regarding maintenance
- Effective Communicator, good organizational skills, and detail oriented
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management, strong interpersonal skills
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, training and evaluation of staff at all levels; conducts performance appraisals and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Ensure compliance with all required work safe practices as defined by Company policy, OSHA, DOT, and other government agencies with jurisdiction over the activities of our business..
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of fleet management experience
- Must be able to respond to occasional phone calls outside of work schedule
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Valid Class A license a plus but not required
- Must have a knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and safety guidelines
- Must be able to work independently and within the framework of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
