About Bellingham Urology Group (BUG)
Located in the heart of scenic Bellingham, Washington, Bellingham Urology Group is a leading urology practice committed to providing top-tier patient care. Our state-of-the-art facility houses an attached Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) where we perform a wide array of urological procedures and surgeries. With a team comprising board-certified urologists, a nurse practitioner, and dedicated clinical staff, we offer comprehensive urologic care in a compassionate setting.
Our main office boasts eight fully-equipped exam rooms, while our ASC features two specialized procedure rooms and one operating room. We are equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies and equipment. This enables us to treat a broad spectrum of urologic conditions, ranging from urinary incontinence to complex kidney disorders.
We also operate a satellite office in Mt. Vernon, offering our high-quality services to an even broader patient demographic. The practice maintains a strong alliance with PeaceHealth St. Joseph Hospital for cases requiring robotic surgeries.

Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgeries to minimize the risk of infection.
- Monitor and adjust surgical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collect and label specimens obtained during surgery for laboratory analysis.
- Assist with patient positioning and transportation within the surgical suite.
- Document patient information, surgical procedures, and equipment usage in medical records systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) preferred.
- Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using medical records systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
