Job Summary
Prepares items required for his/her workstation according to par sheets or instructions from supervisor. Prepares products assigned to workstation during service. Sets up cooking line and prepare foods.
Job Tasks (Duties)
The Cook will always give everyone his or her best service…quickly comply with expressed wants and wishes and anticipate any additional needs. He or she understands that we are here for the members.
- Gathers all supplies needed to prepare meals.
- Prepares all food for menu.
- Keeps station and cooking equipment clean.
- Checks supplies needed for all shifts.
- Sets up, maintains and breaks down cook stations.
- Maintains security and safety in work area.
- Maintains neat professional appearance and always observes cleanliness rules.
- Adheres to local and state health and safety standards.
- Maintains the highest sanitary standards.
- Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products.
- Assists with other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
- Assists supervisor with purchasing/inventory.
- Review and initial daily closing check list.
- Prepares meats, seafoods, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
- Carefully follows recipes when pre-preparing and preparing all items.
- Uses food preparation equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions.
- Returns unused food products to proper storage areas.
- Assists with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
- Returns food preparation utensils and other small ware items to the proper areas.
- Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned by his/her supervisors.
Education and/or Experience:
- Current High School Student or greater.
