About us
We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to Greater Change Health is a teletherapy Service that centers itself on making mental health help and counseling easily accessible and navigable as well as ensuring cultural competence within the help/counseling that you do receive. A lack of cultural competence and cultural understanding within therapy practices is one of the biggest problems faced by people of color that are seeking mental counseling, especially in the south. Greater Change Health achieves its goal of ease of use and accessibility by using a three-step process to schedule your therapy session from the moment you enter the website to being booked with a therapist. All the client needs to do to get booked for a session once they enter the website is click get started, choose a date of availability, and put in their insurance/payment information. One of the most common symptoms of depression and anxiety, two of the main reasons people seek therapy, is a lack of motivation so ensuring that these people seeking help have as little work to do as possible to receive that help is a must. The acceptance of insurance and ease of use to such a degree is not common within the therapy field. The promise of cultural competence is met by searching for and contracting counseling master’s students at primarily POC and diverse universities like Lamar University, Texas A&M-San Antonio, Howard University, and California State University. Greater Change Health caters well to young adults in the south seeking mental counseling, a market that lacks the mental health awareness of the rest of the country. Its target audience is young adults ages 15-25, although the practice is not limited to this and can and will serve other demographics. Youths of this age tend to suffer immensely from mental health issues compared to other demographics, so their treatment is a foremost priority..
