The Consumer Loan Processing Specialist is responsible for the processing and funding of consumer and express business loans. The Specialist ensures service guidelines of both our members and the front line staff we support are met. The Specialist must satisfactorily abide by the department's productivity standards as well as managing working relationships with third parties such as dealerships and other vendors related to the consumer loan process when applicable.
What you will do here:
Review, confirm, process, and fund consumer direct and express business loan contracts within Decision Lender ensuring information is complete and accurate in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements including but not limited to review of format, content, dates, names, personally identifiable information, and partner information.
Provide support to members, credit union staff and external parties with the completion of loan applications which includes but is not limited to the collection, verification and processing of information contained in the loan. Follow up with collection of any missing documents or information need to finalize the loan process. Responsible for gathering missing documents, insurance information and payoffs.
Manage any questions/issues that arise during all stages of the process. Ensures recreated documents are dated, signed and completed in accordance with regulatory requirements. Generate documents on Express Business Loans and coordinate/schedule meetings with members and branch support personnel to effectively complete the loan process.
Proactively identifies and escalates potential fraud or red flags within an application.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years of Financial Institution experience required.
1+ years of Lending experience preferred.
Ability to multi-task is a must, as well as possessing strong verbal and written communication, computer and telephone skills required.
Ability to prioritize daily workloads, and to decide which issues to escalate to supervisors/managers required.
Follow through is critical along with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to exercise strong judgment and time management skills required.
Strong member service skills, professionalism and ability to handle difficult situations required.
Microsoft Office suite required.
Proficient in the use of Keystone and Decision Lender preferred.
