Grossberg, Yochelson, Fox & Beyda, LLP, a dynamic and forward-thinking midsized law firm based in Washington, D.C. and specializing in commercial real estate, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who will support two (2) to four (4) attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the legal field and a desire to contribute to the success of our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to support attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys with drafting and editing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and correspondence.
- Conducting research on relevant laws and property information.
- Coordinating entity formation matters in various jurisdictions.
- Managing and organize electronic files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties, as requested.
- Providing administrative support, including responding to emails, and handling general inquiries.
- Assisting with billing, timekeeping, and other administrative tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Previous experience working as a legal assistant or in a related field preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and terminology a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe-Pro, along with comfort learning and adapting to new technology.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of Document Management Software and Time and Billing software is a plus.

The hours for this position will be 9:00-5:00, Monday through Friday, for a 35-hour work week. We value our professional community and the benefits of our in-person interactions; thus this is an onsite position, without the option for remote work.
