Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate test results
- Monitor quality control measures to maintain accuracy and precision in laboratory testing
- Analyze laboratory data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, such as biology or chemistry; advanced degree
- Proven (1 year) manager experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
-Current certification from a National Registry Agency (ASCP, NCA AMT, HEW, etc.)
-Current Medical Technologist licensure in the State of Colorado.
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and FDA regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software applications
- Experience in histology is a plus
