Summary / Objective
The job of Installer consists of meeting demands and completing work orders in a timely manner; fabricating, inspecting, and installing steel components. Position is for full-time employment with opportunity for regular overtime. Regular weekly travel is required, Monday through Friday (meal per diem and hotel provided). Essential Job Functions
- Fabricate and Install products using standardized practices and methods.
- Maintain shop, equipment, tools, vehicle, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and function of required items and ensuring safety.
- Transports various items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) to and while on the job site.
- Coordinates with management and project foreman/superintendent to complete projects/work orders.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures as directed by management and/or supervisors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs of metal on a daily basis and work on flat or sloped rooftops in hot/cold temperatures required. Company will provide all PPE and training to perform work and utilize PPE and equipment.
- Self-arranged transportation to and from work and the ability to work Monday-Friday each week is required.

Work Environment
This position works in a variety of environments in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. This position is always in a new environment and attention to detail to practice safe working techniques is always demanded.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read prints, count onsite inventory and use their hands and feet when working to install systems. Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment. Must be able to properly wear a respirator and hearing protection. Must be able to climb ladders and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds, bend, climb, crouch, and twist. Must be able to work on your feet for 10+ hours a day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position does often have to adjust daily working hours to meet the demands of the client’s location.
Travel
You will be required to travel up to 95% of the time. You will be required to travel all 50 states, and some international travel as well where passports will be required (for those who are legally able to obtain).
Required Education, Experience & Clearances
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to read engineered drawings, blueprints, plans, and tape measure
- Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Ability to Insure
- Criminal Justice Background Check (state and federal)
- Drug Test (5-panel)

- Ability to legally rent a vehicle from contracted rental car company
Preferred Education and Experience
- Trade school graduate and/or higher-level education
- Fabrication, installation and/or construction related experience
- Field construction means and methods background
- Experience with iron working tools: mag drills, port-a-band, drill, etc.
- Experience with scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts
- AISC Steel Construction, foundations, Hilti anchor knowledge
- Supervisory experience
- OSHA/ANSI Fall Protection standards knowledge
