Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Data Analyst supports the organization’s goals of improving care quality, patient and employee experiences, health equity, funder reports, and strategic planning. This is done by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting datasets and working across the organization – with Operations, Development, Finance, and Human Resources teams.
The Data Analyst creates and maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including recurring reports as well as daily ad hoc reports requested by internal stakeholders.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data in support of strategic goals, performance improvement, and program management. Then, using Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint, creates and maintains usable reports, dashboards, and/or data visualization accessible by staff and management. Data sources include: Dentrix, Practice Analytics, Bloomerang, and Paychex.
- Works with consultants to test and write specifications for new or edited report modifications.
- Develops and maintains training documents and provides training to staff regarding available data and reports.
- Supports in the conduct of patient and employee surveys and feedback.
- Supports annual UDS and HCAI reporting.
- Generates lists from datasets for patient and donor communications.
- Supports strategic planning for the organization and workforce development with data and reports.
Required Education / Experience
- Related bachelor’s degree, or in lieu of a degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience. A combination of education, certification, or relevant work experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems, preferably Dentrix Enterprise.
- Ability to organize multiple projects, provide a high attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be a self-starter.
- Strong analytical skills: the ability to analyze, track, and report quantitative data, including proficiency in data wrangling, exploration, and effective data visualization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Good critical thinking capabilities with an ability to problem solve and implement sustainable solutions.
- Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office; Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.

Pay: $66,560.00 - $75,000.00 per year
