Full Job Description
This is a sales role for a Freight Forwarding company. Our firm provides a competitive salary, uncapped commission, a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for career growth, and much more!
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales for the freight forwarding sector.
- Retains a book of business in international ocean, air is a plus.
- A proactive "hunter" mindset, with a drive to consistently secure new business opportunities.
Salary
- An annual base salary ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 (to be determined by experience) plus monthly uncapped commission.
Job Responsibilities
- Generate new business: Utilize cold calling to bring in new business.
- Build and maintain a customer base: Identify opportunities in freight forwarding to expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with colleagues: Work with subject matter experts to become thoroughly knowledgeable about all products and services.
- Provide tailored solutions: Offer customized solutions through company’s suite of services, including ocean and air shipping, warehousing and distribution, LTL and FTL transportation, cargo insurance, and customs brokerage.
- Meet sales targets: Consistently meet monthly sales targets set by the management team.
- Support team coordination: Collaborate with the sales support team to review quotes and ensure all client needs are satisfied.
- Client meetings: Regularly engage with both existing and prospective clients in the assigned territory.
- Maintain communication: Ensure consistent communication with other departments and international offices.
- Monitor market trends: Keep an eye on international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
