Our comprehensive approach to pain care offers patients renewed hope for relief from their struggle with chronic pain. Our philosophy is that chronic pain should be treated as other chronic medical condition such as diabetes, asthma or congestive heart failure.
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and provide specialized care in the field of pain medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with chronic pain. This individual must have a strong understanding of pharmacology, be able to interpret lab results, and have experience in developing treatment plans for patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Clinical Care
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Performs therapeutic procedures
- Provide care management
- Provide patient education regarding procedures and medications
- Maintains confidentiality of all information as stipulated in the HIPAA Privacy Rules
Case Load Management
- Maintain a full schedule per practice template
- Maintain an independent case load and assume responsibility for case load coverage in absence
- Comply with administrative policies regarding corporate compliance, billing, coding, and documentation
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and health assessments.
- Prescribe medications and treatments for patients with chronic pain.
- Educate patients on pain management techniques and strategies.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic pain.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with pain-related conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
