Diagnostic Medical Sonographer- Part Time
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.
Job Duties
1. Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
2. Exams include, but may not be limited to abdominal, vascular, small parts, ob-gyn, breast, pediatric and infant hips, spine and pylorus.
3. Uses independent judgement during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings.
4. Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area.
5. Assumes responsibility for the safety and care of patients while in the sonographer's care.
6. Performs infection control procedures such as vaginal probe HLD.

Education Required:
Graduate Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer- Required
Registered Vascular Sonographer- Board eligible
Breast Certification- Preferred
Weekend Requirements: None.
