Northwest Wellness is seeking to employ a knowledgeable and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant. The desired candidate will have a solid foundation in orthopedics and be able to treat simple to complex cases.
Orthopedic Patient Population: we treat patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, on-the-job injuries, and general musculoskeletal conditions. We are passionate about providing holistic wellness care.
Our current team: includes 1 orthopedic Physical Therapist, and 1 full-time orthopedic PTA.

PTA Job Description and Duties: The PTA will…
Follow treatment plans set out by our Physical Therapists to help patients improve flexibility and range of motion, strength and endurance, balance, core conditioning, posture and function
Use their skill-set and experience to obtain treatment goals established by team
Work with both direct and indirect supervision from the Physical Therapist
Maintain their own established caseload of patients, with the PT providing appropriate oversight and re-evaluations
Complete appropriate and ethical charting and billing in a timely manner
Assist with PT Department marketing; including activities such as attending team events, visiting health care facilities, creating and posting educational social media content
Establish, instruct, progress and update patient home exercise programs appropriately
Participate and conduct in-house in-services to stay current with evidence-based practice and to assist in multi-disciplinary coordination of care plans
Position Qualifications and Skills:
Current WA state license
New graduates welcome
Ability to coordinate patient care programs with all members of the treatment team
Ability to create effective treatment programs that are individualized to each patient
Ability to thoroughly document patient subjective reports, objective findings, assessments, and plan/goals
Values patient education and provides home programs and other educational information to patients
Team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire to make a beneficial impact within our clinic
Follows billing and reimbursement procedures
Exhibits a sincere desire and dedication to help patients through the rehabilitation process

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
Bonus: $500 signing bonus
