Our Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of injection molding equipment, contributing to the successful production of high-quality plastic parts. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines and related equipment used in the production of plastic parts. This role involves ensuring that the machinery operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and contributing to the overall production process.
Hours: Monday - Friday - Flexible core hours
Pay: $24 - $28 an hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain plastic injection press machines (1 ton - 1000 ton)
- Repair and maintain physical structure of all facility equipment which includes injection molding presses, end-of-arm tooling, robots, fixture and assembly equipment, material feed system, etc.
- Assist in general plant maintenance
- Repair and maintains all automation equipment, conveyor belts, sprue pickers, and robotic equipment
- Assist in safety fixes throughout the plant
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably with experience in plastics injection molding equipment.
- Knowledge of injection molding machines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of 3 phase electrical motor.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools.
- Understanding of safety regulations and protocols in an industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Forklift Certified
