Penmac Staffing is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Accounting/Administrative Assistant for an office in the Baxter Area!
Job Duties:
- Responsible for accounts payable functions including matching packing slips to purchase orders and verifying invoices, data entry of invoices, and responding to vendor inquiries regarding account status and discrepancies
- Responsible for accounts receivable functions including receiving and recording customer payments to the appropriate account and initiating collection activities as needed
- Issues credit memos
- Prepares bank deposits
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and problem solve discrepancies
- Performs basic word processing/data entry functions and general office filing
- Assists in answering and routing of incoming telephone calls as needed
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-year General Accounting Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in a business environment managing accounts payable and receivable functions preferred.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
Compensation:
- Pay depends on experience and skill level
