INVESTMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER & PARAPLANNER
Growing comprehensive financial planning firm is searching for an investment operations service manager. In business for over 20 years, our company is currently providing financial planning and asset management for roughly 350 affluent households. This position will oversee investment trading, new account applications, asset monitoring, service work, and paraplanning services. We are in search of a detailed & organized individual ready to take accountability and ownership of the firm’s investment department as this person will oversee a small team, lead and develop operational processes, and perform para-planning services for firm’s lead advisor.
Daily activities
· Limited direct trading on Charles Schwab platform
· Managing TAMP (Envestnet) platform to monitor and service accounts tied to third-party managers
· Prepare investment proposals as directed by financial advisors
· Prepare and process investment account service work, confirming accurate completion
· Manage client new account openings
· Track incoming contributions and asset transfers
· Field client questions regarding their accounts and take distribution requests
· Prepare notes on account performance and transactions to prepare for client reviews
· Monitor other team members performing client investment service work
· Perform account review meetings with asset management clients on an annual basis
Requirements
· Series 7 license required.
· At least 3-5 years of previous financial service experience required.
· CFP designation preferred.
· Experience with trading & financial planning tech platforms required, with Microsoft Office, eMoney, Charles Schwab Advisor Services and Envestnet preferred
· Investment analysis experience or accreditations are preferred
· Must be a detail-oriented self-starter, organized and able to head up investment operations for the firm
· Must be able to follow in-place work flows spread over the service team
Fulltime in-person position in Kalamazoo, MI. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Compensation based on experience and expertise.
