Assemblers
We are hiring assemblers to work at a plant in either TAYLOR, MI or ROMULOUS, MI. We are requesting an in-office interview for selected candidates at our office in Allen Park, MI. Applicant must be serious, and have dependable transportation.
The basic function of the Assembler is to perform assembly operations using approved company processes, documentation and equipment. Methods of assembly and sequence are specified by verbal and written instructions. The position works under moderate supervision.
Sequencers load parts into outbound sequenced shipping racks in the exact order required by the customer using a display monitor and scanner to sequence the parts. Parts must be handled with care and placed in the racks correctly and without any damage to the parts. Parts may be loaded by hand or with a powered lift assist depending on the commodity. To be successful sequencers must possess a high level of attention to detail, ability to learn and follow process and must be able to handle parts in a careful manner that does not damage the parts.

Summary of essential job functions
· Read work instructions (such as process details, diagrams, customer-supplier prints, etc.) to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly
· Prepare workstation for assembly operation
· Use various hand tools (e.g. cutters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, etc.) to perform the assembly process as required by the customer;
· Apply appropriate labels to products, complete quality checks and any documentation required by the customer.
· Inspect work during and after completion for compliance to documented standards
· In certain cases, may test assembly process using various tools and methods;
· Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Supervisor
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
· Must have experience working in an automotive based assembly environment
· Ability to read, speak and write English
· Safety equipment required – safety shoes, glasses, vest
· able to work shift work, flexible to work weekends when required

Educational Requirements
· Must be able to read and write English
· High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the work day. Must have manual dexterity to assemble cables. Is constantly exposed to manufacturing conditions. May need to be able to repetitively lift up to 20lbs, as well as bend to load the rack.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
