Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental coding systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
- Valid dental hygiene license in [state]
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficiency in using dental coding systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients
