The Maintenance Mechanic at AREA15 ensures continuous operational integrity by performing diverse maintenance tasks and repairs. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the mechanic upholds company core values, maintains professional conduct, and ensures adherence to operational standards in the physical building and surrounding areas. This role involves daily maintenance needs and a wide variety of functions at AREA15 and other assigned property areas. The ideal candidate ensures OSHA compliance and safe equipment operations, accommodating varying shifts based on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Uphold operational standards, communicate needs to management in a timely manner, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanic systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Conduct daily property overviews to ensure operational standards before public opening.
- Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as required.
- Maintain maintenance/inventory records.
- Fulfill work order requests, perform general maintenance and repairs in common areas or as assigned by departments.
- Demonstrate self-starting capabilities, completing tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Monitor spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Install, paint, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various components.
- Monitor and maintain mechanical/HVAC equipment, operate lifts, vehicles, and power tools.
- Ensure exemplary maintenance protocols, complying with security, safety, and environmental codes.
- Detect faulty operations/materials, report irregularities to management, and assist in finding solutions.
- Perform other related tasks requested by the maintenance department.
- Maintain a high level of urgency and responsiveness during assigned events.
- Exhibit AREA15's service standards at all times.
- Must be available to respond to time-sensitive matters while on duty.
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure situations.
- Work under varying levels of noise, lights, and smog/haze.
- Perform other work-related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 21 years of age or older.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Self-starter capable of multitasking, working independently, and contributing to various business functions.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of related field experience.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds assisted.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Safely operate when working with chemicals and fumes.
- Preferred technical skills in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Team-oriented and proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Scissor lift and forklift experience/certification preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, Lock-out-tag-out, and Blood Borne Pathogens safety training is required; OSHA 10 preferred.
- Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in the English language, with additional language skills preferred.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions such as but not limited to, extreme heat, extreme cold, heavy rains, and or snow.
