Position Summary: Concierge Team Member at Pullman Market
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
As a Concierge at Pullman Market, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, managing the grocery valet system, facilitating reservations, and being an expert resource on our specialty offerings. You will also serve as a sales floor associate, actively engaging with customers and enhancing their shopping experience. Responsibilities:
● Uphold proper stocking, sanitation, and rotation practices in merchant and floral areas.
● Accurately and efficiently process customer orders.
● Operates a cash register, receives payment from customers, and makes change or processes check/card transactions.
● Effectively controls cash levels and manages correct change being given and received by customers.
● Ensure floral areas are kept clean, stocked, and all products are checked daily for product quality.
● Checking product quality and freshness upon receiving. Reporting any issues to management.
● Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous service to customers by providing them with current market offerings and product information.
● Engage with customers on the sales floor, delivering top-notch service and guidance.
● Ensure register areas are kept clean, organized, and properly stocked.
● Perform other assigned tasks to support the overall function of the market.
● Reservation Assistance: Act as a point of contact for customers seeking to make reservations at our full-service restaurants. Assist in securing reservations and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
● Product and Market Knowledge: Serve as an educational resource for customers, providing information on Pullman Market's offerings, including farm-to-table produce, specialty items, and locally sourced products. Stay up-to-date on current trends and food industry news.
● Sales Floor Support: Assist with inventory management, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Engage with customers on the sales floor, answering questions, providing recommendations, and offering assistance as needed.
● Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the values of Pullman Market.
Requirements:
● Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality preferred.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong attention to detail, and communication skills in order to properly. communicate with customers and other team members.
● Knowledge of farm-to-table practices and appreciation for local, sustainable food.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. ● Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
● Typical work week for this position is 30-40 hours. Hours vary based on needs of the market and department.
● Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
● Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
Working Conditions:
● Typical work week for this position is 30-40 hours. Hours vary based on needs of the market and department.
● This role involves prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting objects up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist movements.
● Exposure to hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment is possible.
● Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers may be required.
