Tate’s Bake Shop is looking for a Baker to join their legacy shop in Southampton, NY. As a Baker, you are responsible for preparing and baking our pastries while following our high standards of food safety and quality. The Baker will model Tate’s Bake Shop integrity and work collaboratively with the shop’s dynamic team.
What can you expect on the job?
- Bake all fresh pastries for the shop’s daily needs.
- Diligently follow company’s recipe, baking, labeling, and storing instructions.
- Monitor products for consistent quality and report concerns as needed.
- Diligently follow all food safety and safety protocols
- Assist in maintaining food preparation areas clean and sanitized as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Use judgement skills to adjust product bake times as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff to coordinate production.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Frequent exposure to variety of cleaning chemicals.
What should you bring?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of experience in the food industry required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations preferred.
- Baking experience preferred.
What will your schedule look like?
- Start time: 3:30 am.
- Part-time. Approximately 30 hours per week.
- Length of shift will be contingent upon daily production schedule.
- Due to the nature of retail environment, hours may vary throughout the year.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
