Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Cabinet Builder to join our team. Does made in America mean something to you? Do you take pride in your work and like working with your hands?
As a Cabinet Builder, you will cut, shape, and assemble wooden components or set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, and mortisers to surface, cut, or shape lumber or to fabricate parts for wood and plastic laminated products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to work with cordless/pneumatic tools.
- Ability to work with staple and pin guns.
- Attention to detail and group problem-solving skills required.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and do basic addition and subtraction of fractions.
- Must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn a trade.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands
- Medium to Heavy Work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 35 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to walk.
- Must be able to see close up and also at a distance.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment may cause exposure to heat, noise, vibration, odors or dust.
- Ambient temperatures.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level is usually moderate but may be severe at times.
